A visit on the 3rd floor and a baby on the second

I went for a morning visit to help mamma with her new baby at Royal Columbian hospital. They had a successful c-section last night but since I was not allowed in the OR nor the recovery room, I’ve decided to come when I could actually be helpful! After a c-section people are often exhausted and my help wouldn’t be as helpful as it was now that the day has risen. We’ve talked about recovery, breastfeeding, quantity for feeding, expectations vs reality and it was two hours extremely important! And then I’ve got a phone call from another mamma who was at the same hospital having to make a huge decision and wanted my opinion on it! So I just took the elevator downstairs and assisted her right away! Love having people giving birth at the same hospital!
