woke up to contractions

The day today started with a text message from a client who was having contractions since 4am. The text was sent at 7am. 

we met at the hospital right before 11am, she had the epidural (as planned) and we waited patiently until she was fully dilated at 3pm. We’ve used the peanut ball, and the wedge to help keep things moving  and lots of ice chips to help with the nausea. 

after just 30min of pushing, she had her baby boy, it was a beautiful birth, calm labor and the delivery calm enough to put tears into the nurses eyes.
